What is Pumpkimania?
The pumpkin exhibition in the park of the castle of Groot-Bijgaarden.

Pumpkimania takes place at the Castle of Grand-Bigard.

For all ages and is to be enjoyed by everyone.
What are the opening and closing times and which dates is it open?
Our Pumpkin event is open from 19 Sept. to 3 Nov. 2024. (closed on Mon., Tue & Wed., exept from 28 Oct to 3 Nov.)
Gates open: 10:00 – 17:30 (last entry)

Your visit
What should I wear?
It is an outdoor activity: please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and boots to protect against rain.
Can I smoke or vape during the experience?
Although it is an outdoor experience, we will ask you not to smoke on the grounds of the castle.
Are toilets available on site?
Toilets are available on site and are cleaned regularly. We will ask 0,50 EUR per toilet visit.
Can I bring bicycles to the park?
Er zijn geen volwassen- of kinderfietsen toegestaan in het park.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed on the leash.Can we take pictures?
Yes, we recommend that you bring your camera.
What happens if it rains?
If it is raining but access can still be guaranteed to the experience, we invite you to bring an umbrella or a jacket suitable for the rain.
Is it not a foodwaste?
No, most of the pumpkins to dress up the sculptures are decorative pumpkins. They are even poisonous if you eat them. The edible ones do not go bad that quickly, some of them you can keep for up to a year. If there are leftovers at the end of the event, we give them away to farmers so the pigs can enjoy it too.
Food and Drinks
Where can I eat or drink?
In the greenhouse of the park, you will find the cafetaria where you can enjoy a lunch.
It is forbidden to bring your own picnic.

Next to the park's greenhouse, you will find the cafeteria. We offer French fries and specialised dishes.
How can I pay for food and drinks?
You can pay by cash, bancontact or credit card in the cafetaria.
Accessibility
Is the park accessible for wheelchair users?
The park is accessible for wheelchair users, on your own risks. We recommend asking for a strong companion to assist you. There are cobblestones on the entrance bridge and here it is best to pull the wheelchair. Stairs in the park can always be avoided by the wheelchair user.
Do you offer a free ticket for a personal assistant of wheelchair users?
No, but we offer the same discounted rate to companions of disabled persons.

Yes, the park is wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible. Disabled parking is available in the field across the entrance bridge.

Where can I buy tickets?
You can buy tickets here or on the spot by cash, bancontact or credit card, if entrance tickets are still available.
Can I buy tickets on the spot?
Yes, you can buy tickets at the box office on the day IF the event is not sold out.
How much do tickets cost?

Do I need to book in advance?
To avoid disappointment please book your tickets in advance – popular dates sell out fast. It is possible to buy tickets at the box office on the visiting day, if the event is not sold out.
Is it necessary to print the tickets?
No, you can show the tickets on your smartphone.
Can I change the date of my ticket?
You can change the visiting date yourself by clicking on the link of your ticket and going through the steps. Tickets are never refundable.
What is the refund policy?
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the event, you can receive a refund. We will inform everyone via email and our social media outlets as soon as possible. Always check your spam for any communication from us! Under any other circumstances the tickets are non-refundable. This is also mentioned in the general terms and conditions of the event.
How/when will I receive my tickets?
After payment, you will immediately receive the tickets in your mailbox. If you have not received them, please contact contact@grandbigard.be.
After payment you can immediately download and save your tickets.
