• What is WonderLights?

  As soon as night falls, our lantern trail takes you on a journey from the jungle to the ocean world.  For our youngest visitors, a captivating winter garden awaits where magic comes alive, complete with fairies, a pegasus, and even a WonderLights Express train!

• Where does WonderLights take place?

  WonderLights Brussels takes place at the park of the Groot-Bijgaarden Castle.

  WonderLights Brussels enchants the Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden to 25 February 2024. Explore our opening hours and secure your visit now.

  Tips

  Prepare for a cold winter evening. Don't forget your umbrella, boots and warm clothes!

  You can warm yourself in the greenhouse and enjoy a French fries and mulled wine.

  The park is open from 17:00 to 22:00.

• Can we take pictures?

  Yes, we recommend that you bring your camera.

• How Long does it take?

  On average people spent 1,5 hours at the event. The walking route is approximately 1.7 km.

• Is WonderLights suitable for children?

  WonderLights is suitable for children, but anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are free for children under 3 years old.

• What should I wear?

  It is an outdoor activity: please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and boots for the winter.

• Can I smoke or vape during the experience?

  Although it is an outdoor experience, we will ask you not to smoke on the grounds of the castle.

• Are toilets available on site?

  Toilets are available on site and are cleaned regularly. We will ask 0,50 EUR per toilet visit.

• Can I bring bicycles into WonderLights?

  No adult or children bicycles are allowed in the park.

• Can I bring my dog?

  Dogs are not allowed in the park.

• What happens if it rains?

  If it is raining but access can still be guaranteed to the experience, we invite you to bring an umbrella or a jacket suitable for the rain. It is an outdoor activity: please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for winter.

• Where can I eat or drink?

  Next to the park's greenhouse, you will find the cafeteria. We offer French fries and specialised dishes.

• How can I pay for food and drinks?

  You can pay by cash, bancontact or credit card in the cafetaria.

• Is the WonderLight Café of suitable for children?

  Yes, The WonderLight Café is perfect for the whole family.

• Can I bring my own food and drinks to WonderLight?

  It is forbidden to consume your own drinks, alcohol or food during the visit. Experience a culinary surprise with our WonderLight Café.

• I have questions regarding the WonderLight Café. Who can I contact?

Accessibility

• Is the park accessible for wheelchair users?

  The park is accessible for wheelchair users, on your own risks. We recommend asking for a strong companion to assist you. There are cobblestones on the entrance bridge and here it is best to pull the wheelchair. Stairs in the park can always be avoided by the wheelchair user.

• Do you offer a free ticket for a personal assistant of wheelchair users?

  No, but we offer the same discounted rate to companions of disabled persons.

  You can buy your parking ticket on this page for 6 EUR per car. The car park is only accessible on presentation of your parking ticket and for the entire visit.

• Is there a parking space for disabled visitors for WonderLights Brussels?

  We recommend dropping off the disabled person at the entrance of the park and then park the car in the car park of Hocké.

Tickets

• Where can I buy tickets?

  You can buy tickets here or on the spot by cash, bancontact or credit card, if entrance tickets are still available. 

• Can I buy tickets on the spot?

  Yes, you can buy tickets at the box office on the day IF the event is not sold out.

• How much do tickets cost?

  Please find our prices on our ticket page.

• Do I need to book in advance?

  To avoid disappointment please book your tickets in advance – popular dates sell out fast. It is possible to buy tickets at the box office on the visiting day, if the event is not sold out.

• Is it necessary to print the tickets?

  No, you can show the tickets on your smartphone.

• Can I change the date of my ticket?

  You can change the visiting date  yourself by clicking on the link of your ticket and going through the steps. Tickets are never refundable.

• What is the refund policy?

  In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the event, you can receive a refund. We will inform everyone via email and our social media outlets as soon as possible. Always check your spam for any communication from us! Under any other circumstances the tickets are non-refundable. This is also mentioned in the general terms and conditions of the event.

• How/when will I receive my tickets?

  After payment, you will immediately receive the tickets in your mailbox. If you have not received them, please contact contact@grandbigard.be.

  After payment you can immediately download and save your tickets.

  Always check your spam.

• I can’t find my tickets or have lost them, what should I do?

  Upon completing your ticket purchase, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and your tickets.

  You can also email us at info@wonderlights.be, if you cannot find your tickets. Please make sure to include as much information as possible, such as the location, order number, name & email address used to book the tickets.

  Please note: our customer service team can not respond to you instantly and usually require at least 24 hours to respond to any queries. Check your tickets at least 2 days before the event.

• Do I receive a discount if I come with a group?

  From 15 people, you get 1 EUR discount per person on the normal price. You need to book your tickets online.  Do you have more questions regarding group bookings, please contact info@wonderlights.be.
